Final Cut Pro X First Look Review

I try very hard to walk into everything with an objective mindset, and try to find the pros and have them outweigh the cons. I have to admit, despite the screenshots I was really excited for Final Cut Pro X. If you really look at it, this is the first major update that we have seen to video editing in a long time, other than iMovie, and anyone that considers themselves more than just a home movie editor really doesn’t use iMovie. Soft Filter Testing

Recently a friend of mine talked about shooting some video with a soft filter, he used a pair of pantyhose which he was able to grab from the set ( I guess that is a perk of shooting lingerie models …).. I thought this would be a great opportunity to try using a soft filter myself to see what the effect would be.

Testing Out A New Depth of Field Adapter

Recently I purchased a Letus Extreme Depth of Field Adapter. When I orginaly purchased my camera, I had a friend that had the same camera along with a redrock rock. Seeing the quality of the footage that came out of the camera, I knew it would be a wise choice to invest in the same camera with a similar setup. Browsing Craigslist I came upon a hardly used Letus Extreme, and purchased it. The adapter was like new and hardly used. Over the past couple months I have been saving a little bit of money here, and a little bit there and finally have purchased myself a few lenses, rail kit, and hopefully soon a follow focus. My goal is to have a full arsenal of equipment to support my Letus Extreme, until then I feel as if I have enough equipment to use this properly. Continue reading →
